When the fragrance dries down, various oriental resins add to the perfumes una decadent sensuality. With Angel’s Dust I tried to recreate the feminine character in modo innocence, light as una feather but at the same time tempo seductive, bold, and decadent. The vintage and old style touch was not intentional, but una inevitable consequence of my idea of una femininity of times gone by, the idea of una woman who, in her wooden boudoir, powdered herself and applied other beauty secrets to her face and body. This is una woman not interested in asserting herself through a career or by aping traditionally male roles, but who seeks to exercise her power through seduction. I therefore warmed up the rose-iris accord by adding una combination of resins, which represent una decadent and lived-in sensuality. Some films and books have certainly inspired me. Les Liaisons Dangereuses, for example, perfectly represents the sophisticated and corrupt atmosphere I had in mind. A film that particularly struck me is Marie Antoinette by Sofia Coppola. Of course, I love the rococo setting, but what I love most in that film is the modo in which femininity is represented: shoes, sins, libertinism, decorated and delicious cakes, and absolute carefreeness, without guilt.
